The 49ers chose him because of their positional availability concerns. Brandon Aiyuk (knee), Jauan Jennings (calf) and Jacob Cowing (hamstring) are all on the mend. Chosen caught 1-of-4 targets for five yards with the Dolphins last season. He is not fantasy-relevant in 2025. The team released WR Marquez Callaway in a corresponding move.

Sports Illustrated's John Shipley reports that Tuten "had a gnarly move on a linebacker after the catch." Tuten's hamstring strain appears to be in the rearview mirror. He'll need to string together more gnarly practice performances if he wants to oust Tank Bigsby and/or Travis Etienne from their perceived spots on the depth chart. For now, the explosive rookie is prudently viewed as an in-season breakout candidate, but roles are far from locked in at this time.
